Alex Couley

Masters of Business Coaching

Alex Couley is a Director and Principal trainer at the International Centre for Leadership Coaching. He is an international figure in business coaching, mental health and positive psychology.

A leading expert in coaching, Alex is a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Coaching at Harvard University, an affiliate of the Institute’s Coaching leadership forum and he also sits on the Harvard Business Review's advisory panel on coaching.

He studied coaching through University of Wollongong's Masters of Business Coaching program and is now a regular guest lecturer on the same program.

Following on from these studies Alex went on to study Positive Psychology coaching through Ecole Centrale, Paris. Alex's background is as a clinician in the mental health field for 36 years. He was one of the first none psychiatrists to complete the Australian Mental Health leadership Program, through Melbourne University.

Alex has trained more than one thousand workers in the latest interventions in coaching methodologies, positive psychology and mental health across most states in Australia. He assisted numerous organisations to develop wellbeing programs for their employees and has consulted for organisations to implement a coaching culture and overcome challenges on the journey.

During this time Alex has gained significant reputation as a coach trainer and specifically in training managers to utilise coaching in the workplace.

He is an author and regular conference presenter on coaching, mental health interventions, positive psychology and wellbeing.

His expertise in Positive Psychological interventions have been recognised with Alex becoming an official ambassador for the Beehive Foundation Youth Support service and a health coach to I Want To Cycle a support service for those with differing needs.
