Helene is a mindfulness educator and leadership specialist, with over 20 years of experience in leadership roles across a variety of sectors, including Health, Human Services and Environment.
She is the founder of Insight Governance, a consultancy, assisting leaders to create both the personal and organisational governance for flourishing and thriving, both for themselves and employees.
Employing mindfulness-based tools, a contemplative and strengths-based approach to leadership and organisatonal development, her work promotes optimising performance, emotional intelligence and team synergy for sustainable business performance. These programs are based on her own career challenges and insights, experiential practice and contemporary research evidence and are informed by a deep engagement with Buddhist teachings and practices.
Helene’s work focuses on leadership development at the pivotal intersection of mindfulness, unconscious bias, emotional intelligence, compassion and authenticity, nestled on a foundation of research and neuroscience.
She brings unique insight from deep mindfulness practice, organisational leadership and development skills and a strong desire to contribute to transformational professional education through mindfulness and compassion practices for a kinder and wiser world.
Helene is a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher (Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia) and Yoga Teacher (Samadhi Yoga). She has a Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Arts in Health and Social Wellbeing, focusing on mindfulness research and its application in contemporary professional settings. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and Non-Executive Director, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Board and previously with the National Parks Association and an NFP in the disability sector.
