Suzanne Franzway

Suzanne Franzway is Emeritus Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at the University of South Australia. Her work is motivated by the puzzles and passions of the politics of everyday life and social justice. She is currently writing a co-authored book Courage in Tough Times: Feminist Activism and Labour Movements. She was president of Sakyadhita Australia 2016-2019 and is an active Buddhist practitioner in South Australia.

She facilitates study and practice groups within the secular Dharma communities and sits on the Editorial Board of the Tuwhiri Project, an international publishing initiative which publishes books and offerings in the field of secular Buddhism.
