Services
The library provides services to support students currently studying at NTI, both in person and online.
Library staff are available to assist with research enquiries, referencing and understanding assessments in person, over the phone, via email or Zoom. To book an interactive Zoom support session, please email the library at library@nantien.edu.au with your support needs, and 2 available times between 9am-5pm, Mon-Thurs. The library will respond to confirm a time and provide a link for the session. Please note: staff may need to arrange session times based on availability.
Drop-In Zoom Sessions
The Library runs monthly drop-in sessions every second Wednesday of the month, 1:30pm – 2:30pm. Students may drop in at any time during this hour to ask questions related to library services, research and referencing help, online databases or other NTI systems, and more. These sessions do not require registration.
Access the drop-in sessions via the Online Student Support Guide (NTI login required).
Postal Loans
The Library aims to make its resources as accessible as possible. Postal loans are available to all students, regardless of whether your subject is online or on campus, to ensure you can still borrow physical items even if you don’t live in the Illawarra area.
The Library will pay for postage to send items to you, and students are responsible for return postage. Students are also able to return books in person to avoid return postage.
To request a postal loan, identify the item you would like to borrow from the Library Catalogue and email the library with your request and postal address. The Library will aim to post your loan within two business days (delivery time may be affected by Australia Post delays).
Please note, postal loans are only available to students with an Australian address.
Inter-Library Loans
For information on inter-library loans and borrowing from other libraries, see Membership and Borrowing.

Study Spaces
Student seating, tables and study carrels are available on the ground floor of the library.
There is also a quiet study area directly above the library on Level 1 of the Blue Pod, which students may use both during and outside of library hours. This space is not accessible from within the library, so items will need be borrowed before students take them upstairs.
Computers and Wi-Fi
Computers are available in the library on the ground floor for enrolled students only. An NTI login will be required to access.
Students are able to access the wi-fi network. See staff for login details.
