Leonie Hicks

Leonie has been lecturing in the Masters of Arts in Health and Social Wellbeing at the Nan Tien Institute for the past six years and greatly enjoys working in an environment where her students are able to apply their learnings in a supportive and engaging environment.

Leonie holds a Masters of Business Coaching, an Advanced Diploma of Marketing Management, a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and a Certificate IV in Counselling. She is a qualified Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator Practitioner, DiSC Behaviour Indicator Practitioner, Strengths Profile: Individual and Team Strengths Practitioner, Entente Trust Indicator Practitioner and a member of the Institute of Learning Professionals and the IPPA (International Positive Psychology Association).

Leonie is the founder and director of the Up Group, a coaching and consulting venture underpinned by positive psychology and focused on mental health and wellbeing. Leonie works with clients and organisations to build positive cultures by recognising and employing strengths of individuals and teams thereby creating resilient people and productive workplaces. Delivering a range of wellbeing  programs has been her focus to building compassionate, inclusive and harmonious workplace communities.

Leonie brings her own strengths of compassion, empathy and listening to create a safe and supportive space for Nan Tien’s students and adds optimism and zest to ignite their learning and action. She gets her unstoppable energy from music, dance and people and contributing to causes that leave the world a better place.

Offering a high degree of flexibility, our courses can be studied online or on campus, full or part-time. Our courses are designed for health and wellness professionals, counsellors, educators, and other leaders who are balancing a work schedule and already have an undergraduate degree.
