Domestic Students
Nan Tien Institute welcomes students from all over Australia. You are classed as an Australian Domestic Student if you are any one of the following:
- Australian citizen
- Permanent resident
- New Zealand Citizen
If you are applying to study an individual subject, the Non-Award study option is right for you. If you are a domestic student currently studying at another Australian university, please see our Cross-Institutional Studies page for more information on how you can complete part of your studies at Nan Tien Institute.
International Students

Non-Award Students (Individual Subject)
Nan Tien Institute’s Non-Award Program allows students to study individual subjects without the long-term commitments, prerequisite restrictions or assignment workload of the Postgraduate Program.

ABOUT NAN TIEN INSTITUTE
Nan Tien Institute (NTI) is a private, not for profit, government accredited higher education provider offering studies in the areas of Buddhist studies, health and wellbeing, within an environment that incorporates contemplative education.
NTI offers postgraduate programs in Applied Buddhist Studies, Health and Social Wellbeing, Humanistic Buddhism, and Mental Health as well as customised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs and special interest subjects across the areas of meditation, mindfulness and health.
