Genevieve David
Genevieve David is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and supervisor in Sydney, Australia. Her therapeutic work began in 1992 after graduating from Loyola University Chicago, with an MSW in Clinical Social Work. Due to her love for learning and desire to deepen her work with her patients, she did a 4-year analytic training program with a concentration in Intersubjectivity and Self Psychology. She later integrated her analytic work with her interest in Buddhism, participating in a PACFA accredited professional training with the Australian Association of Buddhism and Psychotherapy (AABCAP). Genevieve was later asked to be the president of AABCAP and held the position for several years. She has been studying Buddhist Psychology, and its integration with a Western psychology for 20 years.
Most recently, Genevieve worked in New York City for 3 years, where she started a thriving private practice and continued to pursue her interest in relational psychotherapy and Buddhism.
