Isabelle Phillips

Isabelle Phillips PhD, is the Founder of consultancy Mackerel Sky – Leadership Matters and Co-Founder of Mindfulness for the Global Village. Her enterprise work focuses leadership development and cultural transformation to create the conditions for workforce wellbeing and performance. Isabelle has pioneered the social impact project “Sustainable Brain” delivering change around Australia in the health and social services sectors, with first responders and with others who most at risk of workplace burnout, vicarious trauma, moral injury and other psychosocial health injuries. Isabelle regularly works with government, Australian corporates, multinationals and not-for-profit clients in Australia, New Zealand, China and Singapore. Isabelle holds non-executive director roles in the NGO and Foundation sectors.

Isabelle designs curriculum and lectures MBA programs. She is a winner of a 2023 tertiary education Top Teacher Award. She is passionate about innovative and engaging learning design and remains a curious learner in all her teaching endeavours. Her research investigates the important connections between mindfulness and leadership in an era of discontinuous disruption.
