Outreach & Engagement

The Humanistic Buddhism Centre (HBC) has maintained a strong foundation in community engagement and has expanded scope and outreach through various new in-person and digital events.

Community Engagement

Sunday Check-Ins

The Sunday Check-Ins are a series of sessions focused on self reflection, exploration, networking and Dharma practice that welcome anyone interested in joining in. Some of the sessions are recorded so that participants can revisit them and so that those who were unable to attend at the time can enjoy the sessions at their own convenience.

Turning Points

Turning Points is a powerful initiative to collect inspirational real-life narratives in response to the vicissitudes of everyday life. Each account shows how the Buddhist Dharma has been successfully used to recalibrate responses to everyday problems. Such practice of Buddhism in daily life is truly Humanistic Buddhism. Email your stories (up to 150 words) to bbep2013@gmail.com.
The Turning Points project has been created by the volunteers from The Buddha’s Birthday Education Project. We are passionate about delivering the Dharma in a variety of accessible mediums providing “ancient wisdom for modern times”.
